At school, she is a member of the National Honor Society, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, and FBLA. She is also actively involved in her role as a Peer Mentor, through which she aims to promote school spirit, provide guidance for underclassmen, and overall foster a supportive and exciting environment for all Academy students. Outside of school, she works as a Schoolhouse.world tutor, where she has taught 44 students across 19 different countries diverse STEM topics such as AP Calculus BC and SAT Prep. These efforts to increase STEM engagement, along with her prowess in the field of Computer Science, have been recognized by the National Center for Women & Information Technology. In the future, Sayuri hopes she can contribute to the advancement of autonomous technology and inspire other girls to pursue STEM fields.
